Description
Reykholt was home of Snorri Sturluson, Iceland's greatest Saga writer, poet and historian. Today it is still one of Iceland's main historical and cultural sites. Fosshotel Reykholt reopened on the 1st of March 2005 after extensive renovations. The hotel opened as cultural theme hotel, based on Icelandic literature, Norse Mythology and classical music. The Tourist Class hotel includes a restaurant, bar, library, tv and Internet Lounge. The 69 rooms with shower/WC, and 15 rooms with shared facilities, are around 15-17 square metres. This hotel is ideal for guests that like to relax in the countryside.
