Description
Ringmore House has been standing near the waters of the River Teign estuary since 1770, and is believed to date from 1680. The house is Grade II listed, and the current owners, Robert and Helen Scull have restored the house and recovered many original features, fireplaces in the bedrooms that have been unseen for over 50 years, internal shutters on the windows, fire cupboards and alcoves. The bedrooms and bathrooms are now beautifully decorated and furnished, with River estuary views from both the double rooms. Ringmore is an easy walk upriver from Shaldon, a beautiful valley with many thatched properties along tiny winding lanes, many dating from the 15th century.
